Jralo for WooCommerce and WordPress
Your accessibility check, inside WordPress.
A free plugin for WooCommerce stores and any WordPress site. See what your last Jralo check found without leaving wp-admin, run a new check, and add the live Monitored by Jralo badge without touching code.
Free. The plugin is being submitted to the WordPress.org plugin directory; until it is listed there, install it from this zip file. Works with WordPress 6.4 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
Install
Connected in a few minutes.
Download the plugin
Download the zip file with the button above. It is version 1.0.0, the same file that is being submitted to the WordPress.org plugin directory.
Upload it to WordPress
In your WordPress admin, open Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin. Choose the zip file, press Install Now, then Activate.
Create a connection token
Sign in to your Jralo dashboard (a free account is enough) and add your site. Under the site, open "Connect a WordPress or WooCommerce site" and press "Create a connection token". Copy it; Jralo shows it once.
Paste it into WordPress
Open the new Jralo page in your WordPress admin menu, paste the token and press Connect. Nothing is sent to Jralo before you do.
Run your first check
Press Check now. Jralo opens your homepage and up to 5 linked pages, and the result appears in WordPress in about a minute.
Show the badge, if you want it
On a paid plan with your public record turned on, switch on the footer badge, or place the badge block or the [jralo_badge] shortcode anywhere. It is off until you turn it on.
What it does
It reads your check. It leaves your store alone.
Jralo checks your site from the outside, the way a visitor's browser sees it. The plugin brings the result into WordPress and adds the badge. It does nothing else.
What it does
- Shows your last check in WordPress: when it ran, pages opened, and accessibility problems by severity
- Lists the biggest problems and the website QA results: broken links, broken images, page errors, slow pages
- Starts a new check from WordPress, within your plan's daily limit
- Opens the full report and your dated record on jralo.com with one button
- Adds the live Monitored by Jralo badge as a footer setting, a block or a shortcode, in four styles
What it never does
- Never changes how your site looks or works for visitors: no overlay, no toolbar, no script
- Never sends your orders, customers, products or content to Jralo: only your connection token
- Never contacts Jralo before you connect
- Never signs in to your store, adds to a cart or places an order during a check
- Never says your site meets a law or standard, because no automated test can
Using the plugin means using Jralo, under the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. The badge is covered by the Badge Terms. WooCommerce and WordPress are trademarks of their owners; Jralo is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Questions
Before you install
Is the plugin free?
Yes. The plugin is free and open source (GPL), and everything in it works with a free Jralo account: connecting, seeing your last check and pressing Check now up to 3 times a day. Paid Jralo plans are bought here on jralo.com, never inside WordPress.
Do I need WooCommerce?
No. The plugin works on any WordPress site. When WooCommerce is active it also explains what a check covers on a store and links to your shop, cart and checkout pages.
Which store pages does a check open?
Your homepage and up to 5 pages linked from it, the way a visitor who is not signed in sees them. On most stores these are the shop page, category pages and product pages. Links to cart, checkout, account and sign-in pages are skipped on purpose, so test those by hand.
Is this an accessibility overlay?
No. Jralo does not add anything to your pages to change them for visitors. It finds problems in your real pages so they can be fixed in your theme, your content or your code.
Does it make my store meet accessibility law?
No. Nobody can truthfully promise that, and Jralo does not claim it. Automated testing finds many accessibility problems, not all of them. Jralo shows what a check found and keeps a dated record of every check.
Why is my badge not showing?
The badge shows only while your site is on a paid plan and its public record is turned on in your dashboard, under Badge. A new site's badge appears after its first daily check. Until then the plugin prints nothing on your site.
What does the plugin send to Jralo?
After you connect, your connection token and the plugin's version, each time it reads your check or starts one. Nothing about your content, customers or orders. If you show the badge, it is an image your visitors' browsers load from jralo.com.
How do I disconnect?
Press Disconnect on the Jralo page in WordPress. The token is removed from your site and from Jralo. You can also remove a connection in your Jralo dashboard. Deleting the plugin removes everything it saved.
